Korea Steel Industries Co., Ltd. was Korea’s first-ever producer of cold rolled steel bars for flywheel ring gear.
Korea Steel Industries’ taper bar (Patent No. 0387121) reduced material loss by more than 20% compared to hot rolled products.
Since being acquired by Benda Sunkwang in 2000, Korea Steel Industries has continued to invest aggressively in development, realizing no-lathe material able to meet specs without the need for pre-cutting. Korea Steel Industries supplies Korean automotive makers as well as Japanese companies.
In addition to bar production facilities, production facilities for blanks used in ring gear production have been added. These facilities are the largest in scale in the world, and among the most competitive due to sustained automation efforts.

YB-Gear is a corporation strategically established in China by the BENDA GROUP as a forward production base.
Yancheng is located midway between Chengdu and Shanghai, China. Hyundai Motor Group’s KIA Motors operates a production plant in the city.
YB-Gear will provide one-source production ranging from cold rolling to blanks and ring gear machining and flex assemblies (drive plate assemblies), and current ring gear production stands at 100,000pcs/month.
Production operations are conducted under the technical guidance of BENDA SUNKWANG, with products supplied to Kubota, Nissan, and Yanmar Diesel of Japan.
